CARE AND MAINTAINANCE
Do not eat anything for 1 hour nor drink anything for half an hour after the bonding procedure.
Do not place any objects like pen, pencil, eraser on the braces nor press them with your fingers.
Keep your mouth closed while wiping the face else the threads of the towel, handkerchiefs, dupatta or sari could get entangled with the braces and may break off as you pull.

Post Extraction Instructions

Do’s

  • Bite the gauze that has been placed over the socket for over 30 minutes to stop bleeding.
  • Take the pain relief tablet prescribed by the dentist before the effect of local anesthesia wears off (i.e. Half an hour after tooth extraction).
  • Swallow the saliva and do not spit for 24 hours after the tooth extraction.
  • Have an Ice cream or cold milk shake after removing the gauze piece to control bleeding.
  • To prevent swelling, apply cold packs on the cheeks.

After the Whitening procedure your teeth become porous and hence can absorb colour for next couple of days.
Here are some tips to be followed to keep your teeth white and bright for a longer period of time

  • Beverages to be avoided for 2 days: Tea, coffee, dark soda, red wine, or and coloured drink.

Care of Removable Orthodontic Appliance

  • The retainer must be worn full time for 1 full year. This instruction if neglected will lead to relapse of the treatment i.e. the teeth will return to their original position.
  • If a sore spot develops or if the appliance loosens, then call the dentist immediately for an appointment.
  • The appliances should be thoroughly brushed with washing/ bathing soap 2 to 3 times a day.
  • Avoid eating with the appliance.
  • Avoid meddling with the appliances with your fingers or tongue.
